Robert Kabushenga resigns as CEO Vision Group

Business Executive Robert Kabushenga has asked for the early retirement as the Chief Executive Officer of the government controlled Media conglomerate Vision Group.

In the letter that he sent to all staff members, Robert Kabushenga said that he has asked for the early retirement citing personal reasons.

Kabushenga has been the Chief Executive Office of New Vision Printing and Publishing Company limited since his appointment in October 2006. As the CEO of the company, he has seen the company grow to become a dominant local media company with an excess of 19 brands that include 5 Newspapers, 4 Magazines, Radio Stations, a tabloid, Televisions, Printing and Publishing Company and Online Media.

Robert Kabushenga will continue to oversee the transition period as the CEO of the company for the next 90 days as requested by the Board of Directors.

“I am Proud of the success we achieved and the impact we have had in the society. This was possible because we worked together as a team. No single person could have done it on their own, certainly not me.” Kabushenga said in a letter to the New Vision staff.

Rumors of Robert Kabushenga being fired broke out late last year however they would soon prove false and ungrounded.
